I finally got a second wind after a huge hunk of chocolate cake. It really helped me get this long overdue post out! My hubby has been dieting here and the only desert in the house was chocolate. I got so tired of chocolate. I wanted some body, so I grabbed the girls and headed to the closes grocery store. And what did I get? Chocolate cake! Oh, well, but it did help to catch up on my blog. I haven't read any of my friends' blog in a while and my google reader is maxed out too.
It's been a really crazy week house hunting, then finally moving. I can't believe how much it still took to move just a few plastic boxes of kitchen stuff and a few suitcases of clothes from the corporate house we lived in for 6 days (we didn't unpack the majority of the stuff). How much does a family of 6 need? really?! Well, really, not much. But I regret every day something I didn't bring. In my big hurry to pack I didn't pack any sheets (didn't know what kind of beds we'll be able to find and just plain blanked) and not enough towels. But, we are not overseas. Walmart and Target are still here! So are thrift stores!
Originally, we thought we'd be staying in hubby's corporate housing, but when we got here that option evaporated. So, we found a 6 month lease house. Hubby was very gracious and patient helping me garage sale (my hubby?) for furniture. We got quite a bit of furniture using Craig's list as well. I think everybody has a bed now. Hubby is dropping a trundle bed for the girls as I type outside Starbucks. Should get a W/D soon. Fridge came with the house, so one less headache.
We are going to Sacramento with hubby tomorrow. he has a class and I had no time to figure out what to do with the kids while there. I hope to see my cousin while there but I didn't call her till tonite. So, hope kids are adventurous and we can get out to do things while dad is in class. i posted on my local HS loop for ideas. I hope we get a few inexpensive leads.
I better get moving. Hubby will be bone tired by the time I get home!
Have a great one!

Hey, you! I was just thinking about you yesterday. I'm glad to hear you've found a house and rounded up enough beds for everyone. It's good to hear an update!
We're doing fine here. My baby is a boy :). We're not sure what we're going to call him yet. Right now he's still Mr. Peanut, LOL.
I'll talk to you later!
Amanda
