My new time saving assistant

May I introduce you to my newest kitchen helpers and hopefully, a very much used gadget-my new crockpot! As a loyal Cooks Illustrated on-line subsriber, I have been drooling over their top recommended crock pots for a while. So, finally, after getting a $30 Amazon gift card and purchasing another $5 with my Swagbucks I set to Amazon it. After I clicker order I realized I failed to use the coupons :( . But, oh well, I was full of expectaion and looking forward to my 2 day free delivery (Prime membership is so worth it!). I was soaking some black beans today in faith that my crockpot will be delivered in time. The UPS man came 30 min later. Well, how about that? God cares for my beans too! :)

Yes, that is granola in the pic. My friend and blogger Carrie had a recipe for crockpot granola in the MOMYs cookbooks that I've been wanting to try again ( I burnt mine last time) It's still soft but I am hoping it will harder like regular granola tomorrow. Will let you know later!
